Biometric devices are time collection hardware devices used in time and attendance systems to verify the identity of employees clocking in and out of work. Biometric devices are generally characterized by fingerprint scan technology, face or retinal eye topography and hand topography. Biometric devices insure the person clocking in is in fact the person associated with the employee identification number.
